What are the options for grade reporting?
Each LMS has options for grade reporting. Those may include completion status bars or notifications after an online assessments or quizzes or progress reports that can be customized. Some LMS have statistic pages with features that allow
viewing of student information and the percentage and total number of items completed as of the present time and date.

Are there various levels?
There are various levels of reporting. On a basic level, an instructor can see projects completed or missing on an assignment page column.

Which levels remain most valuable for the online instructor in regard to student performance?
Levels that are valuable for a teacher are the use of the use of statistics feature that are available in many LMS. Some details of grading may include:

  • Minimum and Maximum Values: The lowest and highest values of all graded columns in the Grade Center
  • Range: The numeric range between the lowest and highest grades for an item
  • Average: The statistical average of the item
  • Median: The midpoint score of the items
  • Standard Deviation: The difference between the values of the item and the average of the item
  • Variance: A statistical measure of the spread or variation of the items
